EXTERIOR SURFACE SALT REMOVAL TESTS
Two tests were conducted.

Test 1. Removing chloride from a surface by rinsing with water only and

Test 2. Removing chloride from a surface with Salt-Away then rinsed with water. The surface utilized was sheet metal painted with marine epoxy paint on which sea water had been sprayed.

Surface analysis test showed that the sheet metal contained 80ppm chloride after the sea water appliction.

Test 1. The surface was rinsed off with distilled water for 15 seconds, then collected.
Test 2. Salt-Away (1 part to 128 parts water) was applied first, rinsed with distilled water after 10 minutes. Water sample was collected after 15 seconds of rinsing.
TEST RESULTS

The Titrators image shows the results.
Test 1. distilled water only shows 4.6 units (34%) chloride in the rinse water sample.

Test 2. Salt-Away shows zero units (0%) chloride in the rinse sample.

Salt-Away successfully passes the ISO 8502-10 standard for removal of salt from a surface. (Standard .005% or less chloride remaining in the rinse water sample.)
