Ben aged 14, is currently at school studying his GCSE's. In his spare time however, he likes to ride his Kawasaki 800 sx-r standup. In
May 2006 Ben rode a standup Kawasaki 800sx-r
for the very first time. Having only ever
experienced sitdown jetskis, Ben was bitten
by the standup
bug and after just a few
rides was keen to race. At that time, there was no JSRA Club Racing and so Ben was thrown in at the deep end, racing in the JSRA British Championships!
Ben completed his first season and finished fourth place overall. In his second year of racing
Ben remained in Beginner Junior Ski for the Winter rounds. Now that Ben has completed the Winter Rounds finishing in first place overall, after winning the majority of his races, Ben has now been put up into Junior Ski class. Ben is looking forward to being on the start line alongside his previous race-class mates!
All the junior riders will be racing together this summer, although they will be competing in different Championships and Ben is looking forward to mixing things up a bit!!
Ben isn't the only Wells to catch the racing bug! His Dad will be riding in this years Summer Club Championship. Other competitors beware! He's known as "The Reaper!"
